Advent Adult Faith Formation Series –
Please join our family of parishes as Father Hage leads us through the book “33 Days to Morning Glory” by Fr. Michael E. Gaitley, MIC. An extraordinary 33-day journey to Marian consecration with four giants of Marian spirituality: St. Louis de Montfort, St. Maximilian Kolbe, Blessed Mother Teresa of Calcutta, and Blessed Pope John Paul II. Fr. Gaitley masterfully summarizes their teaching, making it easy to grasp, and simple enough to put into practice. More specifically, he weaves their thoughts into a user-friendly, do-it-yourself retreat that will bless even the busiest of people. So, if you’ve been thinking about entrusting yourself to Mary for the first time or if you’re simply looking to deepen and renew your devotion to her, 33 Days to Morning Glory is the right book to read and the perfect retreat to make. This series will take place every Tuesday during Advent at 6:30pm beginning on Tuesday, December 29th. This series will immediately follow our PCA Holy Hours with Confessions schedule on each campus, and it will be Live-streamed on Facebook @Route20Catholic. You can pick up the book ahead of time in our parish offices, and there will be a suggested $10 freewill offering to help defer the cost of each book.

Mission Statement

Sexual Assault Response and Prevention Team

St. Mary’s/St. Joan’s Roman Catholic Churches & Colgate Newman Community

  • To provide a robust parish and community response to sexual abuse, including (1) acknowledging past abuses in the church and in society at large, (2) ministering to victims of sexual abuse, and (3) creating a healthy and safe community for future generations.

  • Provide resources / raise awareness to parishes and the local community on positive sexuality, respect for the body, and sexual abuse prevention.
  • Infuse all parish staff and structures with a sensitivity to past abuses and concrete steps to prevent future abuses. (For example, we are considering creating an outdoor memorial dedicated to victims of sexual abuse.)
  • Minister to victims of sexual abuse through prayers of the faithful, prayer services and educational and spiritual resources.
  • Educate parishioners and community members of all ages — children, teens, adults – and revise faith formation curriculum to better address this issue.
  • Collaborate with other local faith communities to create a safer and more healthy community.
